Youth activist Oliver Barker-Vormawor has raised concerns about the government's recruitment of water guards.
He questioned how these individuals were chosen to combat illegal mining in water bodies.
Barker-Vormawor noted that there were no advertisements for the positions. This lack of transparency is troubling, especially for a government criticizing shady recruitment practices.
In a social media post, he expressed his disbelief. He asked, “Where did this ridiculous water guard idea come from?”
He added that he hadn’t seen any job ads. Suddenly, people appeared in uniforms and marching out of formation.
Barker-Vormawor concluded with a warning about environmental destruction. He asked if this was being treated like a game.
