One Million Coders programme key to Ghana’s digital future – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama launched the One Million Coders Programme. He sees it as a key step for Ghana's digital economy. The program aims to train one million Ghanaians in coding and digital skills.

During the launch on April 16, 2025, President Mahama highlighted its importance. He stated that this initiative shows Ghana's intent to lead in technology. "We are not just launching a programme," he said. "We are laying the foundation for a blue economy."

The president emphasized that this is part of the Reset Ghana Agenda. This agenda aims for inclusive and innovation-driven development. He encouraged youth and communities to embrace their role in shaping the future.

"This is not just a fulfilled promise," he added. "It is designed to equip Ghanaians with essential skills for modern life." The government hopes this program will drive digital transformation across the country.
