Opoku-Agyemang undergoes treatment at UGMC, set to receive further care abroad

Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang fell ill on Friday, March 28, 2025. She received medical treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

The Presidency’s Communications Directorate issued a statement on Sunday, March 30, 2025. It confirmed that she went to UGMC on Saturday after her sudden illness.

The statement was signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu. He is a Member of Parliament and Minister for Government Communications.

Medical experts have recommended that the Vice President seek further treatment abroad.
