Labour expert Senyo Adjabeng emphasized that Organised Labour will not back down from their planned strike against illegal mining (galamsey) if their demands remain unmet.
He explained that the group's structured nature makes retracting a strike more challenging than declaring one.
His comments came after a government meeting where President Akufo-Addo urged Organised Labour to reconsider the strike, citing concerns about its timing.
However, Adjabeng noted that the movement's momentum is strong and involves various supporting forces.
Ongoing discussions between the government and Organised Labour will continue until the strike action occurs.
