Otoo family officially announces passing of Former AMA Coordinating Director to Accra MCE

The family of Mr. Benjamin Ayikwei Armah has announced his passing.

Mr. Armah was a former Coordinating Director of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).

An 11-member delegation from the Otoo family visited the MCE, Mr. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, on Wednesday. They delivered the sad news at the Accra City Hall.

Mr. Armah served as Coordinating Director from 2019 to 2022. He was known for being a dedicated and principled public servant.

MCE Allotey expressed deep sorrow upon receiving the delegation. He praised Mr. Armah’s integrity, professionalism, and friendship.

“He was more than a colleague—he was a trusted friend,” said MCE Allotey.

He noted that Mr. Armah supported him during his vetting process without expecting anything in return.

The MCE called Mr. Armah's passing a significant personal and institutional loss.

He extended condolences to the bereaved family and offered support from the Assembly during this difficult time.
