Over 41,000 students complete “No Fees Stress” registration for fee refunds

More than 57,000 first-year students in Ghana have used the “No Fees Stress” online portal. Of these, 41,647 students completed their registration. This initiative is from the Ministry of Education to reimburse fees.

The digital platform was developed by the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF). It aims to reduce financial pressure on students and families. This is especially for those from low-income backgrounds.

Eligible students from public tertiary institutions can provide personal and academic information. This information is validated for government reimbursement of fees already paid.

The portal also helps SLTF verify lists submitted by tertiary institutions. It ensures that only qualified students receive financial assistance. The registration process is streamlined for easier verification of eligibility.

SLTF has assured support for anyone facing challenges with the online process. Students can call helpline 0302751020 or visit SLTF zonal offices for help.

The government views this initiative as a long-term commitment. It aims to make tertiary education more accessible and stress-free for Ghanaian students.
