PHOTOS: Mahama applauds workers on May Day

President John Mahama spoke at the May Day celebrations on Thursday. The event took place at Black Star Square in Accra. Thousands of workers attended the celebration.

The Trades Union Congress (TUC) organized the program. This year's theme was "Resetting Pay and Working Conditions in Ghana: The Role of Stakeholders."

Workers from both public and private sectors participated in the march past. Some companies showcased their products and services during the event. Many workers carried placards to highlight their issues.

Notable attendees included Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and Employment Minister Dr. Abdul Rashid Hassan Pelpuo. National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, was also present.
