PSDPEP will be successful under my leadership – SIF CEO

Abass Nurudeen, CEO of the State Investment Fund, spoke about the Post-COVID-19 Skills Development and Productivity Enhancement Project (PSDPEP). He assured everyone that the project will be sustained to reach its full potential.

Nurudeen addressed stakeholders at the first quarter technical committee meeting in Aburi. He expressed his strong support for the project. He also thanked the outgoing project coordinator for his valuable experience.

As a new CEO, Nurudeen appreciated what he learned from the coordinator and staff. He believes this knowledge will guide him in his duties. "PSDPEP will be a success under my leadership," he stated.

Participating institutions included MASLOC, Ghana News Agency (GNA), and others. The Technical Committee reviewed and adopted the first quarter report of PSDPEP. They highlighted achievements, challenges, and key lessons learned.

The team also approved the second quarter work plan. This plan outlines activities to enhance skills development and boost productivity. It focuses on youth and vulnerable populations affected by COVID-19.

Outgoing project coordinator Emmanuel Fordjour stressed the project's importance. He noted that PSDPEP supports Ghana’s economic recovery efforts. It promotes sustainable livelihoods, improves employability, and increases productivity across sectors.

Fordjour urged all stakeholders to continue supporting PSDPEP. "This meeting is crucial for strategies to aid economic recovery," he said. All stakeholders must embrace these strategies to improve lives in Ghana.
