PURC Board Chairman Prof. Thomas Mba Akabzaa is dead

MyNewsGh.com reports the death of Prof. Thomas Mba Akabzaa.

The cause of his death is currently unknown.

Prof. Akabzaa was recently appointed Board Chairman of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) by President John Dramani Mahama.

He previously served as the chief director at the Energy Ministry.

Prof. Akabzaa held a Bachelor's and PhD in Geology from the University of Ghana.

He also earned a Master's Degree in Mining Engineering from McGill University, Canada.
