The Bono Regional Office of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) recovered GHC 835,579.69 for NEDCo. This revenue was collected from January to March 2025.
The PURC's first quarter report was shared with the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani. It also noted an adjustment of GHC 16,263.74 for consumers during this period.
The commission received 263 complaints from service providers and consumers. Out of these, 257 complaints were successfully resolved. NEDCo had the highest number of complaints at 239, which is 90.88 percent.
Ghana Water Limited received 23 complaints, while only one complaint was lodged against a consumer.
During this period, the office organized 20 public education programs. These programs allowed interaction with 2,836 consumers and distributed 795 flyers in Bono and Ahafo Regions.
The commission aimed to promote regulatory excellence and improve consumer welfare. Throughout the quarter, it implemented strategic measures for better regulatory oversight and consumer protection in utility services.
