**Pan-African Savings and Loans Launches Mama Club Group Loans**
Pan-African Savings and Loans, part of Ecobank Ghana, has launched the Mama Club Group Loans. This product aims to meet the changing needs of customers. It focuses on financial inclusion for women, helping them transform their lives and communities.
The reintroduction of these loans is a result of collaboration with GIZ GmbH. GIZ provided technical guidance, staff training, and funding for communication strategies. The initiative is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through GOPA AFC GmbH.
Ms. Emelia Atta-Fynn, Managing Director of Pan-African Savings and Loans, expressed excitement about the launch. She stated that the product addresses women's unique financial needs in Ghana. The partnership with GIZ has improved staff skills and supports financial inclusion.
The Mama Club Group Loans allow women to borrow as a group. This fosters community support while promoting financial responsibility. The loans come with attractive interest rates and flexible repayment terms. Women can earn up to 7% rebate on interest for timely repayments.
In addition to loans, Pan-African offers various services tailored for women. The Mama programme includes free financial training, networking opportunities, and health screenings.
Pan-African believes women are vital to community development. They aim to provide tools and resources that empower women financially in Ghana.
Ms. Jennifer Assuah spoke on behalf of Dr. Christian Jahn from GIZ-Ghana during the launch event. She emphasized that this loan product represents belief in women's potential for economic change. Supporting female MSMEs contributes to sustainable development and prosperity.
