Parliament To Resume Sitting On May 27 For Second Meeting Of Ninth Parliament

Ghana’s Parliament will resume on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. This marks the second meeting of the first session of the Ninth Parliament.

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, made the announcement. The official notice was issued in accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders. It is dated May 12, 2025.

Proceedings will start at 10:00 a.m. at Parliament House in Accra. Members of Parliament (MPs) will address unfinished business from the last sitting.

This includes key legislative bills and committee reports. Various policy discussions are also pending before the House.

The resumption comes as national attention focuses on economic recovery and energy policy. Public sector accountability is another important issue likely to be discussed.

Further updates on the sitting calendar will be provided in the Order Paper before the date.
