Emmanuel Ahumah Djietror has been appointed as the new Clerk of the House, with his tenure set to begin on January 1, 2025.
His appointment was confirmed during a Parliamentary Service Board meeting in November.
Djietror, a seasoned lawyer and procedural expert, will take over from Cyril Kwabena Oteng Nsiah, who is due to retire in February 2025.
Djietror’s extensive experience includes serving as Clerk at the Table and working with various Parliamentary Committees, including Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs.
His first major task will be overseeing the election of the Speaker for the Ninth Parliament on January 7, 2025.
