Parliament ready to support growth and job creation agenda – Ayariga assures Mahama

Majority Leader in Parliament, Mahama Ayariga, has assured President John Dramani Mahama of support for economic growth. He emphasized the need for equitable job opportunities.

Ayariga spoke at the Kwahu Business Forum on April 19. He addressed business leaders and stakeholders in the financial sector. He highlighted the private sector's crucial role in national development.

"The private sector is an engine of growth," he said. "Business leaders are the drivers and operators of this engine." They create jobs and innovate, which must be nurtured and sustained.

He reaffirmed Parliament’s commitment to partner with the executive branch. "Your Parliament—the people’s Parliament—stands ready to support your agenda," he stated. This partnership aims to ensure growth and create equitable jobs.

Ayariga mentioned that committees will work closely with ministries and businesses. They will identify challenges and develop targeted solutions. "We will monitor your ministers to ensure they deliver on promises," he assured.

He concluded by stating that Parliament will oversee enterprise incubation and development nationwide. "Parliament will monitor the implementation of promises to incubate enterprises," he noted.
