The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has forecast partly cloudy weather today. Some areas may see isolated rain showers and late afternoon thunderstorms.
Early morning conditions will be mostly calm. Cloud cover is expected across the country. Residents along the coast and inland may experience brief rain showers in the morning.
As the day progresses, sunny intervals will dominate much of the country. This will bring warmer temperatures throughout the day.
The highest temperature is expected in the northern sector at 41°C. Coastal regions will have highs around 33°C.
GMet also predicts late afternoon thunderstorms north of the coastline. These storms may occur in middle, transition, and northern belts as well.
These conditions could provide temporary relief from heat but may bring strong winds and heavy rainfall in some areas.
Today's temperature breakdown by sector is as follows:
- Coastal areas: 25°C – 33°C
- Forest zone: 23°C – 36°C
- Transition belt: 23°C – 37°C
- Northern sector: 26°C – 41°C
The public is advised to stay hydrated and limit sun exposure during peak hours. Precautions are especially important in areas prone to thunderstorms.
GMet continues to monitor weather patterns closely. Citizens are urged to stay tuned for updates throughout the day.
