Member of Parliament Patrick Yaw Boamah has called for peace among Christians. He made this appeal as the nation prepares for Easter festivities.
Mr. Boamah spoke during a donation ceremony for the Christian Council of Ghana. He presented 1,000 packs of bottled water and an undisclosed amount of money. This support aims to assist the council's activities for Easter.
He emphasized the importance of remembering the reason behind Easter. "We must be mindful of the reason for the celebration," he said. This season marks Jesus Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection.
Easter is also a time for renewal and reflection, according to Mr. Boamah. "This renewal should characterize every aspect of our lives," he added.
Rt Rev Dr Hilliard Dogbe, Chairman of the Christian Council, thanked Mr. Boamah for his support. He noted that this act sends a strong message of unity and love before Easter.
Lt Col Justice Isaac Incoom from the Salvation Army was also present at the event. He described the donation as historic, highlighting its significance during a major Christian observance.
The ceremony included prayers, thanksgiving, and commitments to peaceful coexistence during Easter and beyond.
