Brother Daniel Owusu Asiamah, the lead preacher at the Takoradi Church of Christ, has made bold claims. He stated that Pentecostalism and Charismatic movements are deceptive.
He argued that no man of God in Ghana can heal the blind. According to him, such miracles from the Bible no longer occur. He believes those claiming to perform these miracles are being dishonest.
Asiamah challenged Ghanaian pastors to heal a 30-year-old blind person. In a video, he said, “No single man of God in Ghana can heal someone blind since birth.” He added that this challenge is open to anyone willing to take it.
He explained that some pastors resort to juju, black magic, and occultism. This happens because they refuse to accept that miraculous healing has ended. They misunderstand God's word and believe these miracles should continue.
Asiamah emphasized that healing a blind person in Jesus' name is a thing of the past. He urged pastors not to insult him but instead prove him wrong by performing such miracles.
Many Ghanaians reacted to his comments online. One user offered to sponsor Asiamah's trip to Nigeria for live miracles. Another questioned if he knew Prophet Emmanuel Kofi Mensah from Action Fire Charismatic Chapel.
A third user advised Asiamah not to speak without understanding about miracles today. They insisted that healing still occurs as it did in biblical times.
