Security analyst Col. Festus Aboagye has warned that rising public frustration over political violence and governance issues could lead to people storming the Jubilee House.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile on December 14, he attributed the growing anger to the government’s inaction on violence and the Electoral Commission’s management of the electoral process.
Col. Aboagye cited incidents in Nyankpala, Awutu Senya East, and Abuakwa North as examples of political impunity, highlighting the case of Ernest Yeboah, who has faced no consequences for violent acts since the 2019 Ayawaso West Wuogon incident.
He also criticized unconstitutional recruitment into national security roles, warning that the lack of accountability is worsening tensions.
Col. Aboagye urged urgent measures to address the discontent and prevent further escalation.
