Perpetual Ekua Lomokie aims to be youngest to hold the position of NPP Women Organiser

Perpetual Ekua Lomokie, former Deputy National Youth Organiser of the NPP, has announced her candidacy for National Women Organiser. She aims to energise and empower women in the party before the 2028 elections.

If elected, Ms. Lomokie will be the youngest person to hold this position. She hopes this will represent a generational shift in leadership and grassroots mobilisation within the NPP.

In her statement, she expressed optimism about women's potential impact on electoral success. She stated, “When united and resourced, women can deliver a historic win for the NPP in 2028.”

Her campaign focuses on creating opportunities for women at all levels of the party. She promises to listen and lead with compassion, ensuring women's voices shape the party's future.

Ms. Lomokie believes it is time to rebuild trust and reconnect with voters. With 18.7 million voters in Ghana, women make up 51.6% of this population.

She highlighted that over 55% of voters are aged between 18 and 35 years old. The party needs leaders who resonate with these demographics and have experience in grassroots mobilisation.

Drawing from her background, she emphasised engaging students, market women, seamstresses, hairdressers, and young professionals across sectors.

Perpetual Ekua Lomokie is known for her leadership in youth advocacy and community development. She is pursuing a Master’s degree in National Security Law & Practice.

She holds another Master’s degree in Gender, Peace and Security and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. From 2018 to 2022, she served as Deputy National Youth Organiser of the NPP.

In this role, she was key in volunteer recruitment and campaign coordination. As founder of The Perpetual Akwada Foundation, she led many charitable initiatives nationwide.

Her professional experience includes working with Ghana's Parliamentary Service under the Deputy Clerk. She also held senior roles at Cosmos Construction and Desimone Construction Company Limited.

Ms. Lomokie is currently Director of the Kabaka Foundation. She has held influential positions in various student organisations as well.

Passionate about gender equality and civic leadership, Perpetual Ekua Lomokie aims to unify women within the NPP for victory in 2028.
