Former NPP national chairman, Peter Mac Manu, has raised concerns about the party’s delegate system, warning it could hurt future electoral performance.
Mac Manu criticized the practice of giving money to polling station executives who serve as delegates, highlighting how this creates a divide between these delegates and ordinary voters.
He noted that such disparities breed discontent, with grassroots members feeling undervalued compared to the preferential treatment given to delegates.
This disconnect, he argued, could erode voter trust and loyalty, particularly in the lead-up to elections.
Mac Manu called for a review of the delegate system to ensure fairness and unity within the party.
