Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia visited Rev. Ntim Fordjour's home. This visit followed an incident involving the National Investigation Bureau (NIB).
The NIB had invaded Fordjour's residence recently. Bawumia wanted to show solidarity with him.
This situation arose after the minority attempted to arrest a colleague. The arrest was related to allegations about suspicious flights entering Ghana.
In a tweet, Ntim Fordjour thanked Bawumia for his visit. He described the NIB's actions as politically motivated harassment.
Fordjour stated that these actions aimed to silence MPs from their oversight duties.
Meanwhile, minority leader Alexander Afenyo Markin emphasized the need for government engagement. He believes it is crucial for the government not to intimidate the minority while they perform their responsibilities.
