Photos: AMA cracks down on return of traders on Day 3 of decongestion exercise

On Thursday, May 22, officials from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) continued their decongestion campaign. They were joined by police and national security personnel.

After two days of clearing unauthorized structures and evicting street vendors, today's operation changed focus.

Mayor Michael Kpakpo led teams patrolling previously cleared areas. They ensured traders and transport operators did not return to obstruct the streets.

AMA officers monitored hotspots from Circle to the Central Business District. These areas had seen significant encroachment.
