The second edition of the Kwahu Business Forum took place at the Mpraeso Social Centre. This is located in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region.
The theme was “The Future of Business: The Role of the Financial Sector.” The forum aimed to boost entrepreneurial growth and support Ghana’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
President John Dramani Mahama champions this initiative. It is part of a broader national development agenda. The goal is to expand private sector capacity, especially in agro-processing and manufacturing.
This initiative supports the government’s vision for a resilient economy. It focuses on empowering SMEs for inclusivity.
The forum attracted various stakeholders, including business owners and investors. Key players from the financial industry also attended. A highlight was Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin's presence, adding bipartisan insights.
This year’s event built on last year's success. The first edition occurred during Easter 2024 in Mpraeso.
