Planned power cuts to affect parts of Accra and Tema on May 13 and 14

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will conduct maintenance work. This will happen over two days in parts of Greater Accra and Tema.

The maintenance is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, and Wednesday, May 14, 2025. The goal is to improve service reliability and ensure stable electricity supply.

Work will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days. In some areas, the work may finish earlier at 3:00 p.m.

Affected Areas on Tuesday, May 13, 2025

In Greater Accra Region, power will be cut in these locations:
- Pokuase Pharmacy
- Ayawaso Station
- Nii Ayii
- Odumase
- Amanfrom
- Nsakina
- Kotoku Papase
- Papase Soldier Line
- SCC
- Old Barrier
- Bortianor
- Choice
- Tseaddo
- Oyibi and nearby communities

In the Tema Region, outages will affect:
- Jomef
- Vodafone
- Community 9 Market
- Vienna City
- Community 18
- Devtraco
- Koi Larbi
- Adotey
- City Escape
- Miotso
- Ghanaman Soccer Academy
- Fish Feed
- Noble Estates
- Prampram Township
- Kpoi Ete
- Oasis
- Oman and adjoining areas

These outages are expected to end by 3:00 p.m.

Affected Areas on Wednesday, May 14, 2025

On the second day, ECG engineers will continue their work in other areas.

In Greater Accra Region, power cuts will occur in:
- Abeka
- Tesano Park
- Santana Market
- Ofankor Franko
- Haatso
- Achimota and surrounding areas

In the Tema Region, affected areas from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. include:
- Community 25
- Ghana Flag
- Bulasu
- Casilda Estates
- Afienya Zongo
- Hot Oven
- Imperial Perkin
- China Mall
- T Havana
- Kaketo
- Okro Market
- Ashaiman Bus Terminal
- Apenyo
- Asensu Bar
- Valco Flats and nearby communities

ECG has apologized for any inconvenience caused by these outages. They stated that maintenance is necessary for better power delivery.
