Police arrest 17 suspects in Samreboi anti-galamsey operation

The Police Anti-galamsey Taskforce has arrested 17 suspects in Samreboi.

This taskforce operates from the National Police Headquarters.

The suspects include 7 Chinese nationals and 10 Ghanaians.

They were arrested on May 25 during anti-galamsey operations.

All 17 suspects were taken to Accra for further investigation.

The task force is increasing operations in affected communities.

They aim to identify more persons of interest and protect forest reserves.
