The Ghana Police Service has arrested two people for drug possession.
They were caught with eleven large sacks of suspected narcotics.
The arrests happened during a routine patrol at Ayi Mensah, Greater Accra Region.
The suspects are Mathew Narkotey and Augustine Teye.
Officers from the National Operations Department (NOD) made the arrests on June 7, 2025.
A Mazda pick-up truck, registration number GT 3490-P, was searched.
The suspected drugs were found concealed in the vehicle.
Both the truck and the drugs have been secured at the Joint Operations Centre.
The suspects are currently in custody and helping with investigations.
Police are also searching for a man named Martey.
He is believed to be the intended recipient of the drugs.
The Police Service is committed to fighting the drug trade.
They encourage the public to provide information about other accomplices.
