The Ghana Police Service has announced new security measures for Easter 2025.
These measures aim to keep all citizens safe during the celebrations.
In a statement on Friday, the police assured the public of their efforts. Officers are deployed across roads, highways, and communities nationwide.
“The Ghana Police Service wishes to inform the general public that comprehensive security measures have been put in place nationwide to ensure a safe and peaceful 2025 Easter celebration,” the statement said.
Security is especially tight in the Eastern Region. This includes the Kwahu area, where many will attend the Paragliding Festival and other events.
“Special security arrangements have also been made within the Kwahu areas to cover the Paragliding Festival and other scheduled activities,” emphasized the statement.
The police urge everyone to help ensure a safe holiday season. “We urge everyone to be security conscious, remain vigilant, and report any suspicious activities to the police,” they advised.
The Police Administration ended with a goodwill message: “The Police Administration wishes you a happy Easter.”
These enhanced operations respond to increased public interest in safety during holidays. This is particularly true in busy recreational areas.
