Policewoman interdicted for causing harm to colleague

The Ghana Police Service has disciplined Constable Alonsi Elizabeth. She allegedly poured hot water on a female colleague after an argument.

As a result, she is now detained and interdicted while investigations continue.

The police stated that Constable Alonsi had an altercation with the victim. This conflict escalated, leading to her pouring hot water on the colleague.

The victim suffered injuries to her face and back. She is currently stable and receiving medical care.

The police confirmed that Constable Alonsi will face internal disciplinary procedures. She will also go through legal proceedings in court.
