Political Persecution: Mahama must be worried about his legacy—Salam Mustapha

Salam Mustapha is the National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He believes President John Dramani Mahama should be worried.

Mahama promised Ghanaians a system reset and a proud legacy. However, Mustapha claims that since taking office, Mahama has only shown political persecution.

He says state security has attacked opponents, which reflects poorly on the government. Mustapha reports that security operatives have chased civilians in their homes with weapons. This behavior should not occur under the current administration.

"I think the president should be worried," he stated. "Ghanaians did not vote out the NPP for this kind of misbehavior."

He urged media and citizens to be concerned as well. "Today they target NPP members; tomorrow it could be journalists," he warned.

Mustapha added that these operatives might next go after the judiciary. He cautioned that power can change hands unexpectedly.

He advised civil servants and security personnel to stay neutral during political conflicts. "No political party will remain in power forever," he reminded them.
