Posterity will vindicate Akufo-Addo’s good works - Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President, is the 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He believes that future generations will recognize the achievements of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

During the party’s Thank You Tour, Dr. Bawumia praised Akufo-Addo's leadership. He noted that many contributions to national development would be appreciated over time.

Dr. Bawumia stated that Akufo-Addo’s presidency brought significant changes to Ghana's economy. “History will be kind to President Akufo-Addo for his bold decisions,” he said.

He acknowledged that some initiatives faced criticism but assured that future generations would applaud them. As Vice President during Akufo-Addo's term, he highlighted key achievements like Free Senior High School education and digitalization of public services.

“These are not just policies for today; they are investments for Ghana’s future,” he explained. He reassured supporters that the NPP is committed to building on the groundwork laid during Akufo-Addo’s presidency.

In closing, Dr. Bawumia urged Ghanaians to continue supporting the NPP. He promised that the party is ready to deliver even greater progress. “We are grateful for your trust and pledge to work tirelessly for our nation’s prosperity,” he added.
