Pres Mahama cautions traders against cooking in markets - Ghanaian Times

President John Dramani Mahama has warned traders against cooking in markets. He cited the use of gas cylinders as a major cause of fires.

The President visited Adum to see the fire damage firsthand. This fire affected several market stores in the area.

While in Kumasi for another event, he took time to visit the market. He spoke with affected traders and expressed his sympathy.

He also pledged his support to those impacted by the fire. The Ashanti Regional Minister and the Regional Director of the Ghana National Fire Service welcomed him. They guided him around to assess the damage.
