Pres Mahama suspends Chief Justice

President John Dramani Mahama has suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo.

This action follows a prima facie case against her.

Three petitions were filed regarding Justice Torkornoo's conduct.

The announcement was made in a statement by Mr. Felix Ofosu Kwakye. He is the President's Spokesperson and Minister of Government Communications.

President Mahama stated that the suspension takes immediate effect.
