Pres to dismiss non-compliant appointees … launches Code of Conductv

President John Dramani Mahama has issued a warning to appointees. They must declare their assets as required by Article 286 of the 1992 Constitution. This is also part of the Public Office Holders Declaration of Assets and Disqualification Act (Act 550).

He stated that any appointee who fails to declare their assets will be dismissed. “If by close of day, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, you fail to declare your assets, count yourself automatically dismissed,” he said.

President Mahama made this announcement at the Presidency in Accra yesterday. He launched a Code of Conduct for appointees during this event. The Code will guide their actions and decisions and outline consequences for breaches.

This warning follows an earlier deadline he set for March 31, 2025. In February, he had asked all appointees to declare their assets after declaring his own.
