Presidency hasn't ordered NIB to investigate Akufo-Addo's travels - Felix Kwakye Ofosu

The Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has dismissed rumors.

He stated that the Presidency is not investigating former President Nana Akufo-Addo.

On Friday, March 28, he called these claims false. He urged the public to ignore them.

Kwakye Ofosu clarified that the Presidency did not ask the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to investigate Akufo-Addo’s travels.

He emphasized, “The Presidency has not given any order to the NIB.”

His comments came after reports suggested President John Mahama instructed the NIB to investigate Akufo-Addo's official travels.

Accra-based Asaase Radio reported that government officials claim this move aims for accountability.

They say it relates to managing state resources effectively.
