President John Dramani Mahama has directed all government appointees to declare their assets, with the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, overseeing compliance.

The announcement was made during the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed ministers at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

“I expect all of you to begin the process of declaring your assets.

The Chief of Staff will announce the cutoff date by which time all eligible appointees should have deposited their asset declaration forms with the Auditor General,” President Mahama stated.

Addressing specific ministers, President Mahama emphasized their key mandates. He tasked Energy Minister John Jinapor with ensuring stable and efficient power supply.

For Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the President stressed the need to stabilize the cedi, reduce inflation, and manage public debt to sustainable levels.

Other sworn-in ministers include Haruna Iddrisu (Education), Dr. Dominic Ayine (Attorney General and Justice), Governs Kwame Agbodza (Roads and Highways), and Eric Opoku (Food and Agriculture).

The Appointments Committee continues its vetting process as President Mahama works to finalize his administration’s team and enhance governance.
