President Mahama shares a photo of his visit to Veep Jane Naana on Mother’s Day

President John Dramani Mahama visited Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang on Mother’s Day. He shared a photo of their meeting on Facebook.

In his post, he wished her a special Mother’s Day. He noted that she is resting after recovering from an illness. She looks forward to resuming her duties soon.

Professor Naana began a three-week medical break on April 7, 2025. This break was based on her doctor’s advice. She has been in London since falling ill on March 28, 2025.

Initially, she was admitted to the University of Ghana Medical Centre in Accra for evaluation. President Mahama reassured Ghanaians about her health and dismissed rumors.

He stated that the Vice President is recovering and eager to serve again. During the launch of a sanitary pad distribution initiative, he updated everyone on her condition.

He conveyed her greetings and mentioned they would miss her at the event. He said she is recuperating well and will join them soon to continue their work.
