President bids farewell to outgoing Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs

The Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, announced a farewell event. This event honored the outgoing Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) and his Service Chiefs. It took place at the Ministry of Defence, known as The Square.

The gathering marked the end of their tenure. During this time, they helped safeguard national security. They also upheld the integrity of the Ghana Armed Forces.

President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang attended. They expressed gratitude to the outgoing military leaders for their service.

The handing-over process signifies a new chapter for the Ghana Armed Forces. New leadership will take over to ensure national defense and stability.
