President’s nominee for LaDMA rejected by assembly members

Mr. Alfredo Nii Anyetei was nominated for Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of La Dade-Kotopon.

On Tuesday, assembly members rejected his nomination.

After voting, Mr. Anyetei received five Yes votes and nine No votes.

This means he secured 36 percent of the votes against 64 percent.

There were 14 members who participated in the voting process.

Ms. Gifty Arkorful was the Presiding Officer for the confirmation vote.

She stated that Mr. Anyetei had been rejected without a second chance to vote.

To be confirmed, he needed two-thirds of the votes, or 10 out of 14 members present.
