Prince Harry Prince Harry

The Duke of Sussex visited Ukraine on Thursday. He met war victims at a rehabilitation clinic. This information was shared by a spokesperson.

Prince Harry went to the Superhumans Center in Lviv. There, he spoke with patients and staff members. He was accompanied by a group from the Invictus Games Foundation. This group included four veterans who had similar rehabilitation experiences.

Lviv has often been targeted by Russian missiles. The visit was kept secret until after Prince Harry left Ukraine. During his time there, he met the center's surgical team.

Prince Harry served in the British Army for ten years. He founded the Invictus Games in 2014 for wounded veterans to compete in sports.

His visit aimed to observe support and rehabilitation services amid ongoing conflict. Olga Rudneva, the center's chief executive, invited him during the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 event.

During his visit, Prince Harry met patients and medical professionals. He also spoke with Natalia Kalmykova, Ukraine's Minister of Veterans Affairs. The clinic provides psychological help, reconstructive surgery, and prosthetics for free.

Rob Owen is the chief executive of the Invictus Games Foundation. He noted that Ukraine has been "a vital part" of their mission since 2017. His statement emphasized their commitment to supporting recovery for service personnel and veterans in challenging environments.

The last Invictus Games took place in Vancouver with over 500 competitors from 23 nations. Birmingham will host the next games in 2027.

This week, Prince Harry attended a Court of Appeal hearing in London regarding his security arrangements in the UK.

He is the second royal to visit Ukraine since Russia's invasion began. The Duchess of Edinburgh visited Kyiv last year as well.

King Charles welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Sandringham earlier this year. Additionally, Prince William met Ukrainian refugees during a recent trip to Estonia.
