Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has warned New Patriotic Party (NPP) members. He advised them not to express internal issues through the media. Unity and discipline are crucial as the party prepares for the 2024 elections.
Afenyo-Markin spoke during a visit to Kantamanto Market on April 15. He addressed traders and party supporters, emphasizing internal cohesion. He urged respectful engagement among party members.
He said, “Don’t be sad if you are a member of the NPP. The elders say there are good and bad times.” He assured that the party will soon unveil leaders at various levels. They will then select a flag bearer to lead the party.
He called for unity among party members and discouraged public confrontations. “We plead to all members to be one and united,” he stated. He reminded everyone that they belong to the same party.
The Minority Leader's visit also aimed to show support after a recent fire at Kantamanto Market. The Minority in Parliament donated GHS200,000 to help victims affected by the blaze.
