The Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) has expressed its support for Haruna Iddrisu's appointment as Minister of Education designate.
In a statement, GNAPS praised the Tamale South MP’s leadership during his previous tenures as Minister of Communications and Minister of Labour. The association highlighted his ability to foster collaboration and drive progress, key attributes for addressing the challenges within Ghana's education sector.
GNAPS President, Professor Damasus Tuurosong, emphasized optimism in Iddrisu’s capacity to build a technology-driven education system that prepares students for global demands.
The association also urged the minister-designate to strengthen collaboration with private schools, recognizing their critical role in increasing enrollment and improving educational outcomes.
Haruna Iddrisu is set to appear before Parliament’s Appointments Committee for vetting soon.
