Enoch Gyasi Gyetuah, Executive Director of the National Council of Private Schools, plans to petition the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) over alleged discrimination in Ghana’s school placement policy.
He argues that the system, which reserves 30% of Category A school placements for public school students, is unfair to private school students despite their schools’ investment in quality education.
Gyetuah claims discussions with the government and the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education have been unproductive and is now considering legal action to halt the policy, asserting that it jeopardizes educational fairness and undermines private school efforts.
