Probe Ellembelle DCE, District Finance Officer, over financial abuses – Assembly Members

A group of assembly members from the Ellembelle District Assembly in the Western Region, known as the Concerned Ellembelle Assembly Members, is urging the Auditor General to investigate District Chief Executive Kwesi Bonzoh, the District Finance Officer, and a former Coordinating Director for alleged abuse of office and financial misconduct.

Spokesperson Paul Kodwo Kwaw, the Kikam Assembly Member, claims the DCE and his team have spent assembly revenues without proper approval since January 2024, violating the Local Government Act of 2016.

The group is calling for an immediate commission of inquiry to look into these financial activities and the use of assembly resources for personal political ambitions disguised as community engagement.
