Newly appointed Acting CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), Professor Ransford Gyampo, has asserted that neutrality is not an option when addressing systemic wrongdoing.
In a Facebook post following his appointment by President John Mahama, he stated, "There can be no neutrality when one is tasked with helping to right what is wrong in the service of the nation."
Expressing gratitude for the appointment and congratulatory messages, Prof. Gyampo reassured the public that he remains committed to national service, adding, "I’ll serve Ghana… I remain the Yaw Gyampo you all know."
Before assuming this role, he was a political science professor at the University of Ghana and gained prominence for his independent stance on national issues.
His appointment is seen as part of President Mahama’s broader effort to include non-partisan voices in governance, challenging the winner-takes-all political culture.
