Professor Antwi calls for Alan Kyerematen's retirement from politics

The political future of John Alan Kyerematen, former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and founder of the Movement for Change, is under scrutiny following his disappointing performance in the 2024 presidential election.

Associate Professor Enoch Opoku Antwi, speaking on Okay FM, urged Kyerematen to retire from politics, citing his poor showing in the election with just 0.28% of the vote.

Prof. Antwi criticized Kyerematen for failing to rally those dissatisfied with the NPP and questioned his viability as a political figure after his resignation from the NPP in 2023.

His weak campaign, following his departure from the NPP after losing the presidential primaries, has raised doubts about his future in Ghana’s political scene.
