Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo has been reappointed as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana (UG) for a second four-year term, commencing October 2025.

The Governing Council of the University unanimously endorsed her reappointment, recognizing her exceptional leadership during her first term.

Key achievements under her tenure include the modernisation of classrooms, the one-student-one-laptop initiative, establishing the Legon Leadership Academy, and resolving the University's debt burden.

Her leadership also saw the University of Ghana achieve top rankings and implement a strategic plan focusing on innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability.
