Prophet urges end to stigma against ex-convicts

Prophet Bright Brampah, founder of Christ Power for All Nations Ministry, urges Ghanaians to stop stigmatising ex-convicts. He emphasizes the need for compassion and support for inmates during and after incarceration.

During a special outreach at Ho Central Prison, he highlighted that many discharged inmates feel abandoned. They often receive little to no support for reintegration into society. "Most of them return to a world that has forgotten them," he said. "No one checks on their welfare, not even for food or basic needs."

He pointed out that the government cannot handle this alone. The daily feeding allowance of GHC 1.80 per inmate is insufficient for proper nutrition.

As part of its social responsibility, Christ Power for All Nations Ministry organized a full-day feeding program. Over 300 inmates received both physical nourishment and spiritual support.

Prophet Brampah appealed to the government to review the daily feeding allowance. He also urged churches, individuals, and businesses to show love and care to inmates.

Chief Officer David Apusiga from the Ghana Prisons Service expressed gratitude on behalf of the facility. He thanked the church for alleviating their burden of feeding, even if just for one day.

"We are extremely grateful to Christ Power for All Nations Ministry," he said. "This gesture means a lot to both inmates and officers." He encouraged others—churches, individuals, and institutions—to support efforts in caring for those in custody.
