Qatar Charity, an international NGO, has launched a new water system in Ghana.
The system is located in Sagnarigu, Northern Region.
It features a centralized borehole that uses solar energy.
This solar power helps reservoirs supply clean water to residents.
Mr. Abdullah Muslem, the Programmes Manager of Qatar Charity, spoke about the project.
He noted that it is cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
The water project includes two boreholes for reliability.
If one has low flow, the other can support it.
Two solar pumps move water from both boreholes to three storage tanks.
Each tank holds 5,000 liters, totaling 15,000 liters.
Additionally, a main tank with a capacity of 10,000 liters was installed on the ground.
