Minister Rashid Pelpuo has reaffirmed the government's commitment to reducing youth unemployment. He aims to create job opportunities both locally and internationally.
Pelpuo spoke on The Point of View on Channel One TV with Bernard Avle. He emphasized the need to equip young Ghanaians for employment, no matter where it is. “This term reflects our promises to the youth,” he said. “If jobs are not in Ghana, they can be elsewhere.”
He is working with various ministries and agencies to ensure job availability. “I’m linking up with them so that jobs can be offered to young people,” he explained.
Pelpuo also mentioned discussions with foreign governments interested in Ghanaian labor. “I’m talking with governments outside Ghana about migrating labor from here,” he said.
To support this initiative, Pelpuo launched the "Ghana World Abroad" program. This program aims to help Ghanaian youth find jobs overseas while easing local unemployment pressures.
