Reactivation of Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam, Tomato Factory key to resolving unemployment crisis in north’ - Ghanaian Times

The Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam and Tomato Factory projects are underway. These projects aim to solve economic issues in Upper East and Northern Ghana.

They will create jobs for rural residents. Many currently travel south for work opportunities that do not exist. The projects will also boost the country's socio-economic development.

Morgan Ayawine, General Secretary of the Industrial and Commercial Workers' Union (ICU), spoke at a conference in Bolgatanga last Friday.

This conference was part of the preparations for the 12th Quadrennial Delegates' Conference. Ayawine noted it would help assess regional activities and plan future events. It will also include elections for youth, women, and the Regional Council, along with adopting important resolutions.
